Senator Bunde rose to a point of order. President Stevens cautioned members to proceed in order. President Stevens cited Mason's Manual chapter 11, section 101(4). The question being: "Shall Amendment No. 1 be adopted?" The roll was taken with the following result: SCS CSHB 1(FIN) Second Reading Amendment No. 1 YEAS: 8 NAYS: 12 EXCUSED: 0 ABSENT: 0 Yeas: Davis, Ellis, Elton, French, Guess, Hoffman, Kookesh, Olson Nays: Bunde, Cowdery, Dyson, Green, Huggins, Seekins, Stedman, Stevens B, Stevens G, Therriault, Wagoner, Wilken and so, Amendment No. 1 failed. Senator Gary Stevens moved and asked unanimous consent that the bill be considered engrossed, advanced to third reading and placed on final passage. Without objection, it was so ordered. The question being: "Shall SENATE CS FOR CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 1(FIN) "An Act relating to the base student allocation used in the formula for state funding of public education; and providing for an effective date" pass the Senate?"
