The House Special Committee on Economic Development,                                                
International Trade, & Tourism has considered:                                                      
                                                                                                    
     HOUSE BILL NO. 426                                                                             
     "An Act relating to the levy and collection of an assessment on                                
     certain tourism-related and recreation-related goods and services,                             
     to tourism marketing contracts, and to vehicle rental taxes; and                               
     providing for an effective date."                                                              
                                                                                                    
and recommends it be replaced with:                                                                 
                                                                                                    
     CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 426(EDT)                                                                 
     "An Act relating to the levy and collection of an assessment on                                
     certain tourism-related and recreation-related sales, leases, and                              
     rentals, to tourism marketing contracts, and to vehicle rental taxes;                          
     relating to Alaska marine highway system passenger fares; and                                  
     providing for an effective date."
