Reconsideration of House Bills HB 65 Senator Ellis requested that the reconsideration on SENATE CS FOR CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 65(HES) am S "An Act relating to a new optional group of persons eligible for medical assistance who require treatment for breast or cervical cancer; and providing for an effective date" be taken up. The bill was before the Senate on reconsideration. Senator Green moved that the bill be returned to second reading for the purpose of a specific amendment, that being Amendment No. 4. Without objection, the bill was returned to second reading. Senator Green offered Amendment No. 4 : Page 2, following line 21: Insert a new bill section to read: "* Sec. 3. The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section to read: EMERGENCY REGULATIONS AUTHORIZED. In order to ensure that persons described in sec. 1(a) of this Act receive essential, life-saving medical care, the Department of Health and Social Services may adopt emergency regulations under AS 44.62.250 to implement sec. 1(a) of this Act." Renumber the following bill sections accordingly.
