Insert "An Act relating to the criminal jurisdiction of the state; and providing for an effective date." Page 1, lines 6 - 11: Delete all material and insert: "Sec. 12.05.020. Criminal jurisdiction. (a) A person may be prosecuted under the laws of this state for an offense committed (1) by or against a resident of the state while aboard a vessel that originated in or is bound for the state; or (2) on or against a vessel owned or operated by the state. (b) This jurisdiction is in addition to that provided by AS 44.03 and any other jurisdictional basis expressed or implied in law." 2002-03-22 House Journal Page 2649 Representative Berkowitz moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 1 be adopted. Representative Croft objected. The question being: "Shall Amendment No. 1 be adopted?" Representative James moved and asked unanimous consent that HB 405 be considered engrossed, advanced to third reading, and placed on final passage. There being no objection, it was so ordered. HB 405 was read the third time. The question being: "Shall HB 405 pass the House?"
