Amendment No. 1 was offered by Representatives Berkowitz, Cissna, Crawford, Croft, Davies, Guess, Hayes, Joule, Kapsner, Kerttula, Kookesh, and Moses: Insert new bill sections to read: "*Sec.__. DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS. Contingent upon passage by the First Regular Session of the Twenty-Second Alaska State Legislature and the enactment into law of an increase in the receipts collected under AS 43.60.010, the following amount is appropriated from the general fund to the Department of Corrections for the fiscal year ending in June 30, 2002, for the purposes described: PURPOSE AMOUNT Community Jails $200,000 *Sec.__. DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY. Contingent upon passage by the First Regular Session of the Twenty-Second Alaska State Legislature and the enactment into law of an increase in the receipts collected under AS 43.60.010, the following amounts are 2001-03-13 House Journal Page 0565 appropriated from the general fund to the Department of Public Safety for the fiscal year ending in June 30, 2002, for the purposes described: PURPOSE AMOUNT Alaska State Trooper Detachments $1,440,000 Alaska State Trooper Detachments 838,000 Village Public Safety Officer Contracts 1,212,500 Village Public Safety Officer Contracts 828,500 Fish and Wildlife Protection Enforcement & Investigative Services Unit 1,280,000" Renumber the following bill sections accordingly. Representative Berkowitz moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 1 be adopted. Representative Mulder objected. Representative Ogan was excused due to illness.
