SB 7
Memorandum from Tamara Brandt Cook, Director, Division of Legal
and Research Services, Legislative Affairs Agency, dated July 11 was
received, stating:

Governor Tony Knowles has concluded that the veto of HOUSE CS
FOR CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 7(FIN) am H An Act relating
to the University of Alaska and university land and authorizing the
University of Alaska to select additional state land was not
overriden by the legislature and, therefore, that the bill was not
enacted into law. It is not clear that this conclusion is correct. The
Governor has not assigned the bill a session law chapter number.
Consequently, this office has assigned the bill Chapter No. 136 so
that the session laws for the year 2000 and statutes can be prepared
and printed without further delay.
