Senator Parnell moved and asked unanimous consent that he be allowed to abstain from voting because of a conflict of interest. Objections were heard and Senator Parnell was required to vote. The question being: Shall SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 2 Requesting Bruce M. Botelho, Attorney General of the State of Alaska, to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate possible security and other violations in connection with World Plus, Inc., pass the Senate? The roll was taken with the following result: SR 2 Final Passage YEAS: 15 NAYS: 5 EXCUSED: 0 ABSENT: 0 Yeas: Donley, Green, Halford, Kelly, Leman, Mackie, Miller, Parnell, Pearce, Phillips, Sharp, Taylor, Torgerson, Ward, Wilken Nays: Adams, Duncan, Ellis, Hoffman, Lincoln and so, SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 2 passed the Senate and was referred to the Secretary for engrossment and enrollment. SR 3 SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 3 Requesting Bruce M. Botelho, Attorney General of the State of Alaska, to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate the possible misuse of the Alaska Public Safety Information Network, was read the second time and was before the Senate on final passage.
