Senator Hoffman offered Amendment No. 6 : Add a new section: Sec. . (a) The sum of $1,700,000 is appropriated from corporate receipts of the Alaska Housing Finance Corporation that were generated from the oil overcharge (stripper well) receipts to the power cost equalization and rural electric capitalization fund (AS 42.45.100) to capitalize the fund. 1998-05-05 Senate Journal Page 3763 SB 231 (b) The sum of $1,700,000 is appropriated from the power cost equalization and rural electric capitalization fund (AS 42.45.100) to the Department of Community and Regional Affairs, power cost equalization program, for that program for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1998. (c) The appropriation made in subsection (a) of this section is for capitalization of a fund and does not lapse. (d) The appropriation made in subsection (a) of this section takes effect immediately under AS 01.10.070(c). Senator Hoffman moved for the adoption of Amendment No. 6. Senator Mackie objected.
