                     SECOND READING OF SENATE RESOLUTIONS                    
                                                                               
SJR 37                                                                       
SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 37 Urging the United States                        
Congress to give an affirmative expression of approval to a policy             
authorizing the state to regulate, restrict, or prohibit the export of         
unprocessed logs harvested from its land and from the land of its              
political subdivisions and the University of Alaska, was read the              
second time.                                                                   
                                                                               
Senator Halford moved and asked unanimous consent that the                     
resolution be considered engrossed, advanced to third reading and              
placed on final passage.  Without objection, it was so ordered.                
                                                                               
SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 37 was read the third time.                        
                                                                               
The question being: Shall SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 37                       
Urging the United States Congress to give an affirmative expression            
of approval to a policy authorizing the state to regulate, restrict, or        
prohibit the export of unprocessed logs harvested from its land and            
from the land of its political subdivisions and the University of              
Alaska, pass the Senate?  The roll was taken with the following
