Full Journal pdf1995-03-08 Senate Journal Page 0540 HJR 27 HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 27 am Requesting the United States Congress to accommodate Alaska's wetlands circumstances in the federal Clean Water Act reauthorization by increasing statutory flexibility on wetlands use in Alaska, and to recognize Alaska's unique and outstanding history of wetlands conservation, was read the second time. Senator Lincoln offered Amendment No. 1 : Page 2, line 18, following "Act,": Insert "except for fisheries habitat, migratory waterfowl habitat, and wetlands that support subsistence fishing and hunting," Page 2, line 19, following "program": Insert ", except as the program applies to fisheries habitat, to migratory waterfowl habitat, and to wetlands that support subsistence fishing and hunting," Senator Lincoln moved for the adoption of Amendment No. 1. Senator Leman objected. 1995-03-08 Senate Journal Page 0541 HJR 27 The question being: "Shall Amendment No. 1 be adopted?" The roll was taken with the following result: HJR 27 am Second Reading Amendment No. 1 YEAS: 8 NAYS: 11 EXCUSED: 1 ABSENT: 0 Yeas: Adams, Donley, Duncan, Ellis, Hoffman, Lincoln, Salo, Zharoff Nays: Frank, Green, Halford, Leman, Miller, Pearce, Phillips, Rieger, Sharp, Taylor, Torgerson Excused: Kelly and so, Amendment No. 1 failed. Senators Leman, Sharp, Frank, Rieger, Halford, Taylor, Miller, Torgerson, Green, Pearce, Donley moved and asked unanimous consent that they be shown as cross sponsors on the resolution. Without objection, it was so ordered. Senator Halford moved that the resolution be advanced to third reading and placed on final passage. Senator Ellis objected. The question being: "Shall HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 27 am be advanced to third reading?" The roll was taken with the following result: HJR 27 am Advance from Second to Third Reading?
