Amendment No. 2 was offered by Representative Moses: Page 2, line 30, after "AS38.05.082": Insert ", or, if the land is subject to a shore fisheries lease, the commissioner determines it is in the best interests of the state to convey the land" Page 3, line 29, after "provided.": Insert "The municipality may not lease land conveyed under this section for shore fisheries, but after conveyance, the land may be leased by the state for shore fisheries under AS38.05.082 if the commissioner determines that the lease is compatible with the municipality's use of the land." Representative Moses moved and asked unanimous consent that Amendment No. 2 be adopted. There being no objection, it was so ordered. Representative Vezey moved and asked unanimous consent that CSHB 20(FIN) am be considered engrossed, advanced to third reading and placed on final passage. Representative Navarre objected. The Speaker stated that CSHB 20(FIN) am will be in third reading on the March 22, 1995, calendar.
