Pursuant to adjournment the Senate was called to order by President            
Halford at 11:33 a.m.                                                          
                                                                               
The roll showed seventeen members present.  Senators Kerttula,                 
Rieger, Zharoff were absent.                                                   
                                                                               
The prayer was offered by the Chaplain, Senator Taylor.                        
                                                                               
Senator Pearce led the Senate in the pledge of allegiance.                     
                                                                               
                                CERTIFICATION                                
                                                                               
Senator Taylor moved and asked unanimous consent that the journal              
for the one hundred seventeenth legislative day be approved as                 
certified by the Secretary.  Without objection, it was so ordered.
