                        CONSIDERATION OF THE CALENDAR                        
                                                                               
                       SECOND READING OF SENATE BILLS                        
                                                                               
SB 21                                                                        
SENATE BILL NO. 21 "An Act relating to child visitation rights of              
grandparents and other persons who are not the parents of the child"           
was read the second time.                                                      
                                                                               
Senator Salo offered Amendment No. 1 :                                          
                                                                               
Page 1, line 14:                                                               
	Delete "(c)"                                                                  
	Insert  "(b)"                                                                 
                                                                               
Page 3, lines 5-7:                                                             
	Delete all material.                                                          
	Insert a new subsection to read:                                              
		"(i) The court may deny a final decree of dissolution                        
if the petition concerns child custody and there are no provisions for         
visitation rights of the grandparents of the children."                        
                                                                               
Senator Salo moved for the adoption of Amendment No. 1.  Without               
objection, Amendment No. 1 was adopted.                                        
                                                                               
Senator Taylor moved and asked unanimous consent that SENATE                   
BILL NO. 21 am be considered engrossed, advanced to third reading              
and placed on final passage.  Without objection, it was so ordered.            
                                                                               
Senator Kelly called the Senate on the entire calendar.  President             
Halford stated the call was satisfied.                                         
                                                                               
SENATE BILL NO. 21 am was read the third time.                                 
                                                                               
Senators Ellis, Taylor, Pearce, Leman, Kerttula, Duncan, Zharoff,              
Sharp moved and asked unanimous consent that they be shown as                  
cosponsors on the bill.  Without objection, it was so ordered.
