SENATE BILL NO. 145 "An Act establishing the position of state                 
medical examiner; and relating to preparation of death certificates"           
was read the second time.                                                      
                                                                               
Senator Leman moved and asked unanimous consent for the adoption               
of the State Affairs Committee Substitute offered on page 1219.                
Without objection, CS FOR SENATE BILL NO. 145(STA) was

Senator Adams moved for the adoption of Amendment No. 1.                       
Senator Taylor objected, then withdrew his objection.  There being             
no further objections, Amendment No. 1 was adopted.                            
                                                                               
Senator Taylor moved and asked unanimous consent that CS FOR                   
SENATE BILL NO. 145(STA) am be considered engrossed,                           
advanced to third reading and placed on final passage.  Senator                
Donley objected.
