00 HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 41 01 Rescinding all previous requests by the Alaska State Legislature to call for a 02 constitutional convention under art. V of the Constitution of the United States. 03 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 04 WHEREAS the Alaska State Legislature has previously requested the United States 05 Congress under art. V of the Constitution of the United States to call one or more conventions 06 to propose amendments concerning specific subjects; 07 BE IT RESOLVED that the Alaska State Legislature requests that all resolutions and 08 enactments previously passed by the Alaska State Legislature, or by either house of the 09 legislature, petitioning the United States Congress for a convention under art. V of the 10 Constitution of the United States be rescinded, nullified, and superseded upon passage of this 11 resolution; and be it 12 FURTHER RESOLVED that the Alaska State Legislature requests that this Joint 13 Resolution be published in the Congressional Record and listed in the official tally of state 14 legislative applications relating to calling for the United States Congress to call a convention 15 to propose amendments to the Constitution of the United States. 16 COPIES of this resolution shall be sent to the Honorable Jackie Barber, Secretary of

01 the U.S. Senate; the Honorable Kevin F. McCumber, Clerk of the U.S. House of 02 Representatives; and the Honorable Lisa Murkowski and the Honorable Dan Sullivan, U.S. 03 Senators, and the Honorable Nicholas Begich, U.S. Representative, members of the Alaska 04 delegation in Congress.
