00               SENATE SPECIAL CONCURRENT RESOLUTION NO. 9                                                               
01 Disapproving Executive Order No. 132.                                                                                   
02 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                               
03 WHEREAS the governor, under authority of art. III, sec. 23, Constitution of the State                                 
04 of Alaska, has proposed in Executive Order No. 132 to transfer functions relating to the                                
05 management plan for the Alaska Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve that are currently performed by                              
06 the Alaska Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve Advisory Council to the Department of Natural                                    
07 Resources and to eliminate the Alaska Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve Advisory Council; and                                 
08       WHEREAS art. III, sec. 23, Constitution of the State of Alaska, provides that, unless                           
09 disapproved within 60 days of a regular session by resolution concurred in by a majority of                             
10 the members of the legislature in joint session, an executive order becomes effective at a date                         
11 designated by the governor;                                                                                             
12       BE IT RESOLVED by the Alaska State Legislature that Executive Order No. 132 is                                  
13 disapproved.
