01 "An Act relating to Arbor Day."                                                                                         
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1. AS 41.15.900 is amended to read:                                                                      
04 Sec. 41.15.900. Observance of Arbor Day. To increase public awareness of                                              
05 the vital importance of the conservation and propagation of trees and forests to the                                    
06 everyday life of the citizens of Alaska, the third Monday in September [MAY] of                                     
07 each year is designated "Arbor Day." It shall be observed by appropriate school                                         
08 assemblies and programs and shall be the occasion for other suitable observances and                                    
09       exercises by civic groups and the public in general.
