00 SENATE BILL NO. 34 01 "An Act reestablishing the Citizens' Advisory Commission on Federal Management 02 Areas in Alaska; and providing for an effective date." 03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 04 * Section 1. AS 44.66.010(a) is amended by adding a new paragraph to read: 05 (15) Citizens' Advisory Commission on Federal Management Areas in 06 Alaska (AS 41.37.160) - June 30, 2031. 07 * Sec. 2. AS 44.66.010(a)(10) is repealed. 08 * Sec. 3. The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section to 09 read: 10 TRANSITION. Notwithstanding AS 41.37.190(a), the terms of the initial members of 11 the Citizens' Advisory Commission on Federal Management Areas in Alaska appointed by the 12 governor under AS 41.37.170(c) are as follows: (1) two members shall be appointed for a 13 four-year term; (2) two members shall be appointed for a three-year term; (3) one member 14 shall be appointed for a two-year term; and (4) one member shall be appointed for a one-year
01 term. The governor shall specify the term of office of each member appointed subject to this 02 section. 03 * Sec. 4. This Act takes effect July 1, 2023.
