00 HOUSE BILL NO. 390 01 "An Act authorizing the Alaska Energy Authority and the Alaska Industrial 02 Development and Export Authority to enter into certain gas offtake agreements and 03 power purchase agreements; and providing for an effective date." 04 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 05 * Section 1. AS 44.83.080 is amended by adding new paragraphs to read: 06 (20) to enter into offtake agreements for the purchase of gas produced 07 from the Cook Inlet sedimentary basin; in this paragraph, "offtake agreement" means 08 an agreement to purchase gas before the completion of the project that will produce 09 that gas; 10 (21) to enter into a power purchase agreement with a power-producing 11 entity. 12 * Sec. 2. AS 44.88.080 is amended by adding new paragraphs to read: 13 (33) to enter into offtake agreements for the purchase of gas produced 14 from the Cook Inlet sedimentary basin; in this paragraph, "offtake agreement" means
01 an agreement to purchase gas before the completion of the project that will produce 02 that gas; 03 (34) to enter into a power purchase agreement with a power-producing 04 entity. 05 * Sec. 3. This Act takes effect immediately under AS 01.10.070(c).
