03    * Section 1. AS 44.12 is amended by adding a new section to read:                                                    
04 Sec. 44.12.106. 4-H Day. The first Wednesday of October of each year is                                                 
05 established as 4-H Day in recognition of the contributions of 4-H programs to the                                       
06 positive development of youth in the state. 4-H Day may be observed by suitable                                         
07       observances and exercises by civic groups and the public.
