01 "An Act relating to appropriation bills."                                                                               
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1. AS 24.08 is amended by adding a new section to article 1 to read:                                     
04            Sec. 24.08.120. Appropriation bills. During a regular session of the                                       
05       legislature,                                                                                                      
06                 (1)  the house in which the operating budget bill originates shall pass                                 
07       and transmit the operating budget bill to the second house not later than the 75th day                            
08       of the session; and                                                                                               
09                 (2)  the house in which the capital budget bill originates shall pass and                               
10       transmit the capital budget bill to the house of origin of the operating budget bill not                          
11       later than 24 hours after receiving the operating budget bill.
