01 "An Act extending the termination date of the Regulatory Commission of Alaska; and                                      
02 providing for an effective date."                                                                                       
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1. The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section                          
05 to read:                                                                                                                
06 LEGISLATIVE INTENT. It is the intent of the legislature to continue the Regulatory                                      
07 Commission of Alaska every five years to account for the term length of legislators and                                 
08 provide for awareness of the commission and its purpose through legislative review and                                  
09 debate.                                                                                                                 
10    * Sec. 2. AS 44.66.010(a)(3) is amended to read:                                                                   
11                 (3)  Regulatory Commission of Alaska (AS 42.04.010) - June 30, 2027                                 
12       [2022];                                                                                                           
13    * Sec. 3. This Act takes effect immediately under AS 01.10.070(c).
