00                      HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 25                                                                     
01 Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the State of Alaska relating to                                           
02 employment preferences.                                                                                                 
03 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                               
04    * Section 1. Article I, Constitution of the State of Alaska, is amended by adding a new                              
05 section to read:                                                                                                        
06 Section 26. Employment Preference. An employer may grant an employment                                                  
07 preference to a person trained in the use of arms, a member of the armed forces of the                                  
08 United States or State, a veteran, or a dependent of a person trained in the use of arms,                               
09 a member of the armed forces of the United States or State, or a veteran. The                                           
10       legislature shall implement this section.
