04    * Section 1. The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section                            
05 to read:                                                                                                                
06 BONUSES FOR CERTAIN EMPLOYEES OF THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH.                                                                  
07 Subject to an appropriation for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2023, for that purpose, a                               
08 classified or partially exempt employee in the executive branch of the state government who                             
09 is not a member of a collective bargaining unit established under the authority of                                      
10 AS 23.40.070 - 23.40.260 (Public Employment Relations Act) may be awarded and paid a                                    
11 bonus for the purpose of retaining the employee.
