01 "An Act prohibiting a person who receives state funds from requiring employees or                                       
02 contractors to receive a medical procedure."                                                                            
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1. AS 44.99 is amended by adding a new section to article 1 to read:                                       
05            Sec. 44.99.050. Prohibition on requiring medical procedures. (a) A person                                    
06       that receives state funds may not enact or enforce a policy requiring an employee or                              
07       contractor of the person to receive a medical procedure.                                                          
08            (b)  If a person enacts a policy requiring an employee or contractor to receive a                            
09       medical procedure, the person is not eligible to receive state funds while the policy is                          
10       in effect.                                                                                                        
11            (c)  In this section,                                                                                        
12                 (1)  "contractor" has the meaning given in AS 23.30.045(f);                                             
13                 (2)  "employee" has the meaning given in AS 18.60.105(a).
