00 HOUSE BILL NO. 235 01 "An Act establishing the Sunday after the first Saturday of March of each year as James 02 'Hobo Jim' Varsos Day." 03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 04 * Section 1. AS 44.12 is amended by adding a new section to read: 05 Sec. 44.12.167. James "Hobo Jim" Varsos Day. James "Hobo Jim" Varsos 06 Day is established on the Sunday after the first Saturday of March of each year to 07 honor James "Hobo Jim" Varsos. James "Hobo Jim" Varsos Day may be observed at 08 school assemblies and by suitable observances and exercises by civic groups and the 09 public.
