00 HOUSE BILL NO. 213 01 "An Act relating to the use of an official 'Made in Alaska' emblem." 02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 03 * Section 1. AS 45.65.010(b) is amended to read: 04 (b) A person may use an emblem described under AS 45.65.030(c) to identify 05 an article that is made in the state. The emblem may not be used to identify an article 06 made outside the state, except that a reproduction made outside the state of a 07 literary or musical work written, composed, or otherwise produced in the state is 08 considered to be an article made in the state for the purposes of this subsection, if 09 the publishing, if any, of the work is done in the state and the reproductions of 10 the work that are made outside the state are distributed from a location in the 11 state. In this subsection, 12 (1) "literary or musical work" includes a 13 (A) work of fiction, work of nonfiction, poem, dramatic 14 play, and comedic play; and 15 (B) musical composition and musical performance;
01 (2) "reproduction" includes a paper copy, video copy, and copy of 02 a compact disc.
