01 "An Act relating to the importation of bees and bee equipment into the state."                                          
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1. AS 03.47.010 is amended to read:                                                                      
04 Sec. 03.47.010. Importation. Except for hive boxes certified under                                                  
05 AS 03.47.020 that are used to transport queen bees or bee queen cells, the [THE]                                    
06 importation into the state of [BEES ON BEE COMBS AND] used beekeeping                                                   
07 equipment is prohibited. This section does not prohibit the importation of section                                  
08 [SECTION] comb honey for human consumption [MAY BE IMPORTED INTO THE                                                    
09       STATE].                                                                                                           
10    * Sec. 2. AS 03.47.020 is amended to read:                                                                         
11 Sec. 03.47.020. Importation of bees. All bees and hive boxes containing                                           
12 bees that are imported into the state shall be accompanied by a health certificate that                             
13 states that the bees or hive boxes containing bees come from an apiary apparently                                   
14 free of bee diseases and that is signed by an apiary inspector determined to be                                         
15       qualified by the division.
