01 "An Act establishing November as Alaska Native Heritage Month."                                                         
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1. AS 44.12 is amended by adding a new section to read:                                                  
04 Sec. 44.12.157. Alaska Native Heritage Month. The month of November                                                   
05 each year is established as Alaska Native Heritage Month. Alaska Native Heritage                                        
06 Month may be observed by schools, community groups, and other public and private                                        
07 agencies and individuals with appropriate activities to honor and recognize the                                         
08 contributions made by Alaska Natives in the history of this state and the United States.
