01 Suspending Rules 24(c), 35, 41(b), and 42(e), Uniform Rules of the Alaska State Legislature,                            
02 concerning House Joint Resolution No. 21, urging the federal government to respect the                                  
03 authority of the state to regulate marijuana use, production, and distribution and to honor                             
04 previous federal guidance on marijuana policy; and urging the federal government to                                     
05 reconsider its listing of marijuana as a schedule I controlled substance.

07 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                             
08      That under Rules 49(a) and 54, Uniform Rules of the Alaska State Legislature, the                                  
09 provisions of Rules 24(c), 35, 41(b), and 42(e), Uniform Rules of the Alaska State                                      
10 Legislature, regarding changes to the title of a bill, are suspended in consideration of House                          
11 Joint Resolution No. 21, urging the federal government to respect the authority of the state to                         
12 regulate marijuana use, production, and distribution and to honor previous federal guidance                             
13 on marijuana policy; and urging the federal government to reconsider its listing of marijuana                           
14 as a schedule I controlled substance.
