01 Suspending Rules 24(c), 35, 41(b), and 42(e), Uniform Rules of the Alaska State Legislature,                            
02 concerning House Bill No. 44, requiring a legislator to abstain from taking or withholding                              
03 official action or exerting official influence that could benefit or harm an immediate family                           
04 member or certain employers; and requiring a legislator to request to be excused from voting                            
05 in an instance where the legislator may have a financial conflict of interest.

07 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                             
08      That under Rule 54, Uniform Rules of the Alaska State Legislature, the provisions of                               
09 Rules 24(c), 35, 41(b), and 42(e), Uniform Rules of the Alaska State Legislature, regarding                             
10 changes to the title of a bill, are suspended in consideration of House Bill No. 44, requiring a                        
11 legislator to abstain from taking or withholding official action or exerting official influence                         
12 that could benefit or harm an immediate family member or certain employers; and requiring a                             
13 legislator to request to be excused from voting in an instance where the legislator may have a                          
14 financial conflict of interest.
