00 HOUSE BILL NO. 248 01 "An Act requiring advisory votes on the enactment of an individual income tax, a 02 statewide sales tax, and legislative action that changes the calculation of the permanent 03 fund dividend." 04 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 05 * Section 1. The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section 06 to read: 07 ADVISORY VOTE ON TAX. At the first statewide election following the effective 08 date of this Act, the lieutenant governor shall place before the qualified voters of the state 09 three questions advisory to the legislature and the governor. Notwithstanding AS 15.80.005 10 and other laws relating to the preparation of a ballot proposition, the questions shall appear on 11 the ballot in the following form: 12 Q U E S T I O N 13 Do you approve of the passage by the Alaska State Legislature of a bill 14 that imposes an individual income tax?
