01 "An Act authorizing an advisory vote on the use of permanent fund earnings to finance                                   
02 the operation of state government."                                                                                     
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1. The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section                          
05 to read:                                                                                                                
06 ADVISORY VOTE. The lieutenant governor shall place before the qualified voters of                                       
07 the state at the next general election a question advisory to the legislature as to whether the                         
08 legislature should use the earnings or other revenue generated from the Alaska permanent                                
09 fund to pay for the operation of state government. The question shall appear on the ballot in                           
10 the following form:

12            Should the Alaska State Legislature authorize using earnings or other                                        
13       revenue generated from the permanent fund to pay for the operation of state                                       
14       government?
