01 "An Act relating to meetings of the Board of Fisheries and the Board of Game."                                          
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1. AS 16.05.251 is amended by adding a new subsection to read:                                           
04            (j)  The board shall meet on a five-year cycle to consider regulatory proposals                              
05       for management of a specific fishery.                                                                             
06    * Sec. 2. AS 16.05.300 is amended to read:                                                                         
07 Sec. 16.05.300. Board meetings. (a) Each board shall hold [AT LEAST ONE                                               
08 MEETING A YEAR AND] as many [OTHER] meetings as it considers necessary.                                                 
09 Each board shall select the time and place in the state for the transaction of business.                                
10       Each board shall maintain its office at the principal office of the department.                                   
11            (b)  In addition, the Board of Fisheries shall hold at least one meeting or                                  
12       hearing a year in each of the following general areas:                                                            
13                 (1)  Upper Yukon - Kuskokwim - Arctic;                                                              
14                 (2)  Western Alaska (including Kodiak);                                                             
15                 (3)  Southcentral (including Kenai);                                                                

01                 (4)  Prince William Sound (including Yakutat).
