01 "An Act relating to license renewal and criminal history record checks for massage                                      
02 therapists; and providing for an effective date."                                                                       
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1. AS 08.61.050(5) is repealed.                                                                          
05    * Sec. 2. The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section to                          
06 read:                                                                                                                   
07       APPLICABILITY. Section 1 of this Act applies to applications for renewal of a                                     
08 license to practice as a massage therapist under AS 08.61 filed on or after the effective date of                       
09 this Act.                                                                                                               
10    * Sec. 3. This Act takes effect July 1, 2017.
