00 SENATE BILL NO. 145 01 "An Act relating to the recovery of overpayments of day care assistance and child care 02 grants; and providing for an effective date." 03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 04 * Section 1. AS 47.05.080(a) is amended to read: 05 (a) Benefit overpayments collected by the department in administering 06 programs under AS 47.07 (medical assistance), AS 47.25.001 - 47.25.095 (day care 07 assistance and child care grants), AS 47.25.120 - 47.25.300 (general relief), 08 AS 47.25.430 - 47.25.615 (adult public assistance), AS 47.25.975 - 47.25.990 (food 09 stamps), and 47.27 (Alaska temporary assistance program) shall be remitted to the 10 Department of Revenue under AS 37.10.050(a), except for overpayments recovered 11 under AS 47.07 that cover the value of services paid from federal sources. 12 * Sec. 2. The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section to 13 read: 14 APPLICABILITY. This Act applies to the recovery of overpayments of day care
01 assistance and child care grants under AS 47.25.001 - 47.25.095, regardless of whether the 02 overpayments occurred before, on, or after July 1, 2016. 03 * Sec. 3. This Act takes effect July 1, 2016.
