00 HOUSE BILL NO. 331 01 "An Act requiring the Department of Health and Social Services to provide an 02 explanation of benefits for medical assistance services." 03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 04 * Section 1. AS 47.07.030 is amended by adding a new subsection to read: 05 (g) The department shall, to the extent authorized under federal law, provide 06 to all recipients of medical assistance a written explanation of benefits for each service 07 provided under this chapter. The explanation of benefits must include a notice of the 08 procedure and a telephone number for filing a complaint of fraud or a billing error.
