01 "An Act relating to the public construction contracts, including the application of                                     
02 prevailing wage rates."                                                                                                 
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1. AS 36.05.005 is amended to read:                                                                      
05            Sec. 36.05.005. Applicability. This chapter applies only to a public                                       
06       construction contract that exceeds $75,000 [$25,000].                                                         
07    * Sec. 2. The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section to                          
08 read:                                                                                                                   
09       APPLICABILITY. This Act applies to a public construction contract if the public                                   
10 construction contract is entered into on or after the effective date of this Act. In this section,                      
11 "public construction" has the meaning given in AS 36.95.010.
