01 "An Act relating to the required participating share for school district construction                                   
02 grants; and providing for an effective date."                                                                           
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1. The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section                          
05 to read:                                                                                                                
06       SCHOOL    CONSTRUCTION    GRANTS;    PARTICIPATING  SHARE.                                                        
07 Notwithstanding AS 14.11.008(b), if a district with full value for each ADM of $200,001 or                              
08 more that has been prioritized for funding by court order or consent decree can demonstrate in                          
09 writing to the commissioner that it is unable to provide the required participating share or that                       
10 the participating share required under this section will jeopardize receipt of federal assistance                       
11 or the health and welfare of students, the participating share for that district is two percent.                        
12    * Sec. 2. Section 1 of this Act is repealed June 30, 2018.                                                         
13    * Sec. 3. This Act takes effect immediately under AS 01.10.070(c).
