01 "An Act classifying tramadol and related substances as schedule IVA controlled                                          
02 substances; and providing for an effective date."                                                                       
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1. AS 11.71.170 is amended by adding a new subsection to read:                                           
05            (g)  Schedule IVA includes, unless specifically excepted or unless listed in                                 
06       another schedule, any material, compound, mixture, or preparation which contains any                              
07       quantity of the following substance or its salts calculated as the free anhydrous base or                         
08       alkaloid: 2-[(dimethylamino)methyl]-1-(3-methoxyphenyl)cyclohexanol, its salts,                                   
09       optical and geometric isomers, and salts of these isomers, including tramadol.                                  
10    * Sec. 2. This Act takes effect immediately under AS 01.10.070(c).
