01 "An Act making a special appropriation to the University of Alaska Fairbanks for a                                      
02 study of the feasibility of constructing a railroad between Fairbanks and Deadhorse;                                    
03 and providing for an effective date."                                                                                   
04 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
05    * Section 1. UNIVERSITY OF ALASKA FAIRBANKS. (a) The sum of $2,000,000 is                                          
06 appropriated from the general fund to the University of Alaska Fairbanks for a study of the                             
07 feasibility of constructing a railroad between Fairbanks and Deadhorse.                                                 
08       (b)  It is the intent of the legislature that the University of Alaska Fairbanks provide a                        
09 copy of the feasibility study to the legislature on or before July 1, 2015.                                             
10    * Sec. 2. LAPSE. The appropriation made in sec. 1 of this Act lapses June 30, 2015.                                
11    * Sec. 3. This Act takes effect July 1, 2014.
