01 "An Act relating to natural and cultural history collections at the University of Alaska                                
02 Museum of the North."                                                                                                   
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1. AS 14.57.010(a) is amended to read:                                                                   
05            (a)  The department shall manage and have complete charge of all of the                                      
06       property contained in the institution known as the state museum. The museum shall be                              
07       maintained in the state capital. Branch museums may be established and maintained in                              
08       other localities in the state. The branch museums that are established under this                             
09       subsection, including the University of Alaska Museum of the North, are                                       
10       designated as official state repositories of natural and cultural history collections.
