01 "An Act adjusting pupil transportation funding; and providing for an effective date."                                   
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1. AS 14.09.010 is amended by adding a new subsection to read:                                           
04            (e)  The per student amount available to a school district under (a) of this                                 
05       section shall be adjusted annually on October 1 according to changes in the Consumer                              
06       Price Index for all urban consumers for the Anchorage metropolitan area compiled by                               
07       the United States Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics. The reference base                             
08       index for an adjustment made under this subsection is the Consumer Price Index for                                
09       all urban consumers for the Anchorage metropolitan area compiled by the United                                    
10       States Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics, for the years 1982 through                                
11       1984.                                                                                                             
12    * Sec. 2. Section 9, ch. 19, SLA 2012, is repealed.                                                                
13    * Sec. 3. This Act takes effect July 1, 2013.
