00 SENATE BILL NO. 113 01 "An Act authorizing an advisory vote on the issuance of general obligation bonds to 02 finance the construction of an in-state gas pipeline and related facilities; and providing 03 for an effective date." 04 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 05 * Section 1. The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section 06 to read: 07 ADVISORY VOTE. At the next general election, in substantial compliance with the 08 election laws of the state, the lieutenant governor shall place before the qualified voters of the 09 state a question advisory to the legislature and the governor. Notwithstanding AS 15.80.005, 10 the question shall appear on the ballot in the following form: 11 Q U E S T I O N 12 Should the Alaska State Legislature place before the voters for 13 ratification general obligation bonds in the amount necessary, not to exceed 14 $6,000,000,000, to finance construction of an in-state natural gas pipeline, a
01 gas treatment facility, and associated infrastructure needed to deliver North 02 Slope natural gas to all Alaskans? 03 Yes [ ] No [ ] 04 * Sec. 2. This Act takes effect immediately under AS 01.10.070(c).
