01 "An Act relating to airport security screening pat-down searches."                                                      
02 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
03    * Section 1. AS 02.15 is amended by adding a new section to read:                                                  
04            Sec. 02.15.235. Witness present during security screening pat-down                                         
05       search. A person who is subject to an airport security screening private pat-down                               
06       search may request that a witness of the person's choosing be present at the private                              
07       pat-down search. The witness may be a police officer employed by the state or a                                   
08       political subdivision of the state. The security screening personnel may not refuse the                           
09       request for a witness to be present at a private pat-down search.
