01 "An Act making a special appropriation to the transportation infrastructure fund; and                                   
02 providing for an effective date."                                                                                       
03 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
04    * Section 1. ALASKA TRANSPORTATION INFRASTRUCTURE FUND. The sum of                                                 
05 $1,000,000,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the transportation infrastructure fund                          
06 (art. IX, sec. 18, Constitution of the State of Alaska).                                                                
07    * Sec. 2. CONTINGENCY. The appropriation made in sec. 1 of this Act takes effect only if                           
08 an amendment to the Constitution of the State of Alaska establishing the transportation                                 
09 infrastructure fund as a dedicated fund is approved by the voters before April 1, 2013.                                 
10    * Sec. 3. LAPSE. The appropriation made by this Act is for the capitalization of a fund and                        
11 does not lapse.                                                                                                         
12    * Sec. 4. This Act takes effect April 1, 2013.
