00 HOUSE BILL NO. 9 01 "An Act requiring the Joint In-State Gasline Development Team to report to the 02 legislature recommended changes to state law that are required to enable or facilitate 03 the design, financing, and construction of an in-state natural gas pipeline so that the in- 04 state natural gas pipeline is operational before 2016; and providing for an effective 05 date." 06 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA: 07 * Section 1. AS 38.34.040 is amended by adding a new subsection to read: 08 (j) In consultation with the attorney general and the governor, the Joint In- 09 State Gasline Development Team shall review the project plan described in this 10 section and identify changes required to state law necessary to enable or facilitate the 11 design, financing, and construction of an in-state natural gas pipeline so that the in- 12 state natural gas pipeline is operational before 2016. The Joint In-State Gasline 13 Development Team shall report its initial findings under this subsection and submit its
01 first recommended changes to state law to the legislature before July 1, 2011, or 02 within 60 days after the effective date of this subsection, whichever occurs later. 03 * Sec. 2. This Act takes effect immediately under AS 01.10.070(c).
