00                         SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 1                                                                        
01 Relating to establishing a Senate Special Committee on Energy.                                                          
02 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE:                                                                                           
03       WHEREAS energy is one of the most significant issues of the state;                                              
04       BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate that a Senate Special Committee on Energy is                                       
05 established to study issues relating to energy use and energy development; and be it                                    
06       FURTHER RESOLVED that the president of the senate shall determine the number                                    
07 of senators to be members of the committee and shall appoint the members and designate a                                
08 member to chair the committee; and be it                                                                                
09       FURTHER RESOLVED that the Senate Special Committee on Energy may meet                                           
10 during and between sessions of the Twenty-Sixth Alaska State Legislature and is terminated                              
11 on the convening of the First Regular Session of the Twenty-Seventh Alaska State                                        
12 Legislature.
