01 * Sec. 4. STATE PARTICIPATION IN THE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND 02 REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009: INTENT. It is the intent of the legislature to acknowledge 03 the extraordinary one-time nature of the appropriations made 04 (1) in P.L. 111-5 (American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009), and to 05 recognize that similar federal appropriations will not likely recur; and 06 (2) through the state appropriations financed by P.L. 111-5 (American 07 Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009) in the budgets of state agencies, the University of 08 Alaska, and other entities of the executive branch, and to recognize that similar state 09 appropriations will not likely recur. 10 * Sec. 5. FUND SOURCE CHANGES FOR FEDERAL ECONOMIC STIMULUS 11 PROJECTS. Section 2, ch. 159, SLA 2004, page 54, lines 7 - 9, is amended to read: 12 University of Alaska 13 Federal Receipts 36,000,000 14 [116,000,000] 15 Federal Economic Stimulus 80,000,000 16 University of Alaska Restricted Receipts 26,302,500 17 * Sec. 6. RETROACTIVITY. Sections 1 - 5 of this Act are retroactive to February 17, 2009. 18 * Sec. 7. This Act takes effect immediately under AS 01.10.070(c).
