01 "An Act requiring the Department of Transportation and Public Facilities to publish on                                  
02 the department's Internet website reports regarding the status of active transportation                                 
03 projects."                                                                                                              
04 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF ALASKA:                                                                
05    * Section 1. AS 44.42.050 is amended by adding a new subsection to read:                                           
06            (f)  When an appropriation has been made to the department for a                                             
07       transportation project included in the list of projects required under (d) of this section,                       
08       the commissioner shall                                                                                            
09                 (1)  prepare and publish information about the project on the                                           
10       department's Internet website; the information must include                                                       
11                      (A)  the name of the project;                                                                      
12                      (B)  a description of the project;                                                                 
13                      (C)  the status of the project;                                                                    
14                      (D)  all amounts appropriated for the project with dates of the                                    

01            appropriations and fund sources;                                                                             
02                      (E)  all expenditures from project inception until the date the                                    
03            information is published;                                                                                    
04                      (F)  future funding needed to complete the project;                                                
05                      (G)  the phase or stage of work the project has reached;                                           
06                      (H)  the name of the prime contractor performing the                                               
07            construction if construction has begun;                                                                      
08                      (I)  the project schedule from inception to completion and any                                     
09            changes in the schedule that have occurred; and                                                              
10                      (J)  geographic location of the project, including the borough or                                  
11            census district and the election district; and                                                               
12                 (2)  update the information for each project semi-annually.                                             
13    * Sec. 2. The uncodified law of the State of Alaska is amended by adding a new section to                          
14 read:                                                                                                                   
15       APPLICABILITY. AS 44.42.050(f), added by sec. 1 of this Act, applies only to                                      
16 projects for which an appropriation is made on or after the effective date of this Act.
